Inflation in Argentina Has Increased 100% from Last Year

Millions of Argentines are struggling to make ends meet, as the country’s annual inflation rate clocked in at 102,5%, in February as compared with the previous year. 

This is first time inflation in Argentina has reached triple digits since 1991,  with the annual inflation rate having been in double digits, for the past decade.

Gabriela Cerruti, Spokeswoman for the Argentine Precidency said, The inflation figure is obviously bad, very bad, and not what was expected. Price of food was among the items that most increased in February,  rising 9,8 percent from January.

Most citizens, are struggling to cope with the high inflation, and unable to put enough food on the table. One citizen , Mabel Epinosa, a 37 year old mother, hoped to find some deals to put enough food ont he table for her household, which includes her husband and 6 children.
